This is unlike any curl bar you've used. The 1 3/4" thick powder-coated bar is a part of the series of Hog Leg fat bars and blows traditional 1" chrome bars away. The thick powder-coated handle feels solid in your hands and doesn't slip.
The powder coating on this bar provides a great grip surface even with sweaty hands. Rubber grips can wear out or come loose from the bar. Note that there is no knurling on this bar, because it's made partly to train your grip strength.
