Years ago, this was the best bar for the price. That is no longer the case. See our blog post on the best olympic bar under $200.
A raved-about classic that you can find in tons of home gyms and CF boxes.
This popular bar was redesigned in 2015 with the green "Beast" labeled end cap.
The tensile strength of 130,000 PSI is by today's standards pretty low, but still higher than the economy bars found in most 300lb beginner weight sets. We recommend moving up to CAP's Rebel Bar, which has very similar specs to this but with a higher tensile strength.
If you're looking to get an inexpensive bar with good sleeve construction, this is it. If you have had experience bending bars, you'll want to look at one of our higher tensile strength bars. This is currently one of the best olympic bars you can get under $200.
See Tamara Reynolds' review video of this bar below. Note that it's an older version of the bar (2012) but most of it still applies.
