Machines

Home Gyms are complete multi-station weight machines for home or commercial use, for working all body parts. See the Home Gym Comparison Guide.

The rest of the categories here are single-purpose machines and are described as:

Selectorized vs. Plate Loaded - The type of weights used. Selectorized Machines come with a weight stack and a pin to easily select the desired weight in seconds. Plate Loaded machines require you to add and remove freeweights manually. Some users prefer plate loaded machines because they can pile on more weight and can utilize their existing freeweights.

Cable vs. Leverage - The way the machine uses resistance. Cable Machines use a cable and pulleys to pull the weight off the ground. Some users prefer these due to the greater freedom of movement.Leverage Machines have no cables and simply move around a pivot point. Some users prefer these due to the smoother movement and fewer parts to wear out.

Other Stations include dip stations, pull up stations and anything else that doesn't fit into one of the above categories.

Adamant Barbell has the best weight machines for home and commercial environments. Home machines are lighter and not made to take the constant abuse or very high weight limits of commercial gyms and fitness centers.
